# Posted: 3 Dec 2008 03:12:53 - In the Edit Record dialog box, the Notes textbox is constrained to display only 15 or 15 characters of the string. I would expect this box to be much bigger, or at least sizeable, to be able to see at least a significant part of the note. In contrast, the Name text box, which is scrollable, seems over-dimensioned for its purpose. Maybe these text boxes could be sized dynamically, depending on the dialog box size? |

# Posted: 7 Dec 2008 08:34:23 - Currently the Edit record decides what which boxes should be scrollable based on the width of the column in the report. If the column is over 150 pixels wide, the edit record box is scrollable. Maybe we should add something about this to the Edit Column Options script? We are looking into what changes would be necessary for GanttPV to display more rows of text in each cell of the grid report. Alexander has found two different approaches that might do this, but neither handles it the way we would prefer. (One does word wrapping well; the other handles carriage returns properly. I would like to see both and haven't been able to decide which to give up in the short term.) |
