Thanks, this will save quite a bit of time when tasks are shifting constantly over short periods. While I understand that the script does not integrate assignments from all projects, and assume this is just a question of available development time, I don't see vacation time being integrated, assuming users manage personal leave periods as "tasks" in a separate project, as I do. For me, this limits the usefulness of the script as it stands. |

Everyone I've talked to has a different idea about what a script like this should do. I finally decided to create one using an algorithm that I think would be (1) reasonably understandable and (2) useful in some common situations. I appreciate your comments. The Start Date column should not be affected by the script, but "Calculated Start Date" is updated. Think of Start Date as a constraint that means "don't start before this date". Usually I leave that column blank and define prerequisites to tell GanttPV when to start tasks. |
