# Posted: 25 May 2007 16:16:32 - After deleting some tasks in a Gantt chart, I noticed that the corresponding rows in the Resource/Assignment table where cleared, but the row wasn't removed. The assignment hours can be recalculated with no ill effects as far as I could tell. It is also possible to delete the empty rows without problems. Running Linux. I haven't tried this on Windows yet. |

# Posted: 31 Jul 2007 00:36:52 - Confirmed on GanttPV v0.7. The white rows in the Resource/Assignment report represents neither the resource nor the assigned task, but the "assignment", which is the link between the two. I agree that it would be less confusing if we hid the assignment row for a deleted task. Likewise for dependency rows. I'll start working on it. Thank you, Blake. |

# Posted: 31 Jul 2007 01:26:26 - Alright, I've submitted the changes. My solution is a little ad hoc, but it works. I modified GetRowLevels (in Data.py) so that it hides any assignment or dependency record that points to a deleted task or resource. What would be even better is an all-purpose "deep deletion" feature, so that orphaned records like these are deleted automatically by the Update function. I am still working on that one for a future release. |
