Could you also send me a copy of that script for changing the numer of time periods in a Day/Gantt column?

And . . . is it possible to have a second "Name" column in a chart that's independent of the first? Or even three? (for example: "Plumber"/"demolition"/"kitchen", then "Plumber"/"demolition"/"bathroom", then "Plumber"/"new "installation"/"kitchen", etc.)

I like the application and am trying to use it to schedule simple renovation projects. Keep up the good work!

Thanks

In response I send a copy of the requested script with this comment:

To use, just select one of the Day/Gantt columns and run the script. If you select more than one column the script won't do anything.

I also sent a second script to add more name fields with this comment:

Here is a script that will add two more name fields that will have column headings of "Name 2" and "Name 3". If you would like them to have a different name change the "Label" parameters at the very end of the script.

Is anyone else interested in these scripts? If there is enough interest I will add them to the Scripts page.

I'd be interested in using both scripts - especially the first. I'd like to see them posted.

Okay. I'll add them as soon as I'm able to make a couple of minor changes.

Tony, I have added both scripts to the scripts page.

"Edit Column Options" will allow you to change the number of time periods displayed in time scale columns. For other columns it will allow you to edit the column label.

"Add Task Name Fields" defines two new "Name" column types for Tasks. When you run the script it will add the new name columns to the list you see when you click the Insert Column button.

If you edit the last few lines of this script you could use it to add text fields to Resources or Projects, too. I'd be glad to help if you have any questions.
